We had our reasons. A path to tread.
Outside the garden of living dead.
We whispered secrets under our breath.
Set fire to moonlight. Ripped off our heads

And kicked them to the ground and away we went.
Running through the fields and the wet cement.
Looking for that perfect way to die.
It's not like we were ever gonna make it out alive.

And so we carried on until the birds sang.
Our heads had grown back wrong.
All filled with nothing.

We tried to tear them free but they wouldn't budge.
We thrashed around the field and sank in the mud.
Then every day was struggle just to survive.
We couldn't find our reasons we just didn't wanna die.
Then the days turned into years, and the years to minutes.

Cold white light...is that the sun?
So far away. What have we done.
